I Too, Dream America

This piece, highlights the emotion and exhaustion behind the anger that many only choose to see during this important time of fighting for social justice. This fight, this protest, has been underway for nearly 200 years. Protesters are not thugs. Looters and rioters are not protesters. Protesters can get angry, because they are human. Anger is a part of the human existence, but below anger (right below) is always fear or pain. That is a part of the human existence too. I believe we are more alike than different and it’s our ability to feel that ties us together. It was important to me to show this vulnerable and relatable side so we can be reminded it is there. It is there.
