About This Quilt

It’s one thing to hear it, ‘strong Black woman’, but it’s another thing entirely to feel it, to believe it. I created this quilt as an inspiring reminder that we have what we need within us to transcend the harshest environments and even the direst situations. The calming color palette and affirming message on this quilt is sure to comfort the body and fortify the weariest of spirits. I chose violet for the accents and trim because it is a color of power, nobility, and ambition—a reminder of the queens that we are.
