Black Cameo

I did not see my first black cameo until I was in my 20s. I was struck by the beauty and wondered why it had taken so long. Quilting her bun and the addition of pearls dignified this piece for me. She reminds me of the women I would see on Sunday growing up and having Sunday tea in the living room.
